WE ARE HIRING – WORKING SOUS CHEF
Grand Chancellor Kitchens is seeking an experienced and hands-on Working Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate must be capable of actively working on the line while supervising the team and maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency.
Expertise Required:
✔ Chinese Cuisine
✔ Indian Cuisine
✔ Sri Lankan Cuisine
✔ Western Cuisine
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
Lead by example through active participation in food preparation and service
Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion control
Monitor food costs, and kitchen efficiency
Maintain HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
Support menu development and recipe standardization
Ensure smooth service during busy periods
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or catering operation
Strong practical knowledge of Chinese, Indian, Sri Lankan, and Western cuisine
Ability to manage multiple kitchen sections
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Professional attitude with a passion for culinary excellence
