Senior Electrical Technician - Matugama

💼 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 : SENIOR ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

For a Leading Pipe Manufacturing Company – Tube Mill Industry

💠 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 :

【~】✪ Minimum 6-8 years of industrial electrical / machinery maintenance experience

【~】✪ Experience in Tube Mill, Steel Manufacturing, or Heavy Industrial environments (Added Advantage)

【~】✪ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

【~】✪ Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and protection systems

【~】✪ Experience with PLC troubleshooting and fault finding

【~】✪ Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and inverter systems

【~】✪ Ability to troubleshoot electrical breakdowns quickly and efficiently

【~】✪ Experience with control panels and power distribution systems

【~】✪ Knowledge of sensors, limit switches, encoders, and industrial automation systems

【~】✪ Ability to use electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers

【~】✪ Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance activities

【~】✪ Knowledge of transformer, generator, and compressor electrical systems

【~】✪ Ability to supervise electrical maintenance work and guide technicians

【~】✪ Understanding of electrical safety procedures

【~】✪ Experience working with KPI (Added Advantage)

【~】✪ Good communication and teamwork skills

【~】✪ Ability to work under pressure

💠 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄 :

【~】✪ Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field from a recognized institution

【~】✪ Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within heavy industries

【~】✪ Proven expertise in PLC, VFD, motor controls, and power distribution systems

【~】✪ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail

【~】✪ Physically fit and capable of working in industrial environments

【~】✪ Excellent leadership and supervisory capabilities

【~】✪ Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic instruments

【~】✪ Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures

【~】✪ Willing to work in shifts and respond to breakdown emergencies

【~】✪ Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills

💠 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 :

【~】✪ Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown electrical maintenance on Tube Mill machinery and equipment

【~】✪ Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and protection systems

【~】✪ Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

【~】✪ Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings

【~】✪ Maintain and service control panels, power distribution systems, sensors, limit switches, and encoders

【~】✪ Diagnose and resolve issues with transformers, generators, and compressor electrical systems

【~】✪ Use electrical testing instruments (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers) for diagnostics

【~】✪ Lead and supervise junior technicians in electrical maintenance tasks

【~】✪ Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and procedures

【~】✪ Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

【~】✪ Monitor and report on KPI performance related to electrical maintenance

【~】✪ Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns to minimize production downtime
