💼 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 : Senior Accountant

(Finance / Retail / Trading / Microfinance)

💠 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 :

【~】✪ Fully or Partly Qualified in CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA

【~】✪ Minimum 5–8 years experience in a senior accounting role

【~】✪ Prior experience in retail, trading, or finance/microfinance is highly preferred

【~】✪ Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan taxation and statutory regulations

【~】✪ Experience with ERP / accounting software and MS Excel

【~】✪ Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

💠 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄 :

【~】✪ Qualified or part-qualified professional accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA)

【~】✪ Experienced senior finance professional with 5–8 years in a similar role

【~】✪ Strong understanding of Sri Lanka's tax and regulatory environment

【~】✪ Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel

【~】✪ Analytical thinker with leadership abilities and clear communication

💠 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 :

Accounting & Financial Reporting

【~】✪ Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across all business units

【~】✪ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

【~】✪ Ensure accuracy of general ledger, trial balances, and final accounts

【~】✪ Consolidate accounts of multiple branches and business segments

Budgeting & Cost Control

【~】✪ Prepare annual budgets and cash flow forecasts

【~】✪ Monitor expenses and implement cost control measures

【~】✪ Analyze financial performance and provide management reports

Taxation & Compliance

【~】✪ Ensure compliance with Inland Revenue, VAT, PAYE, ESC, and other statutory requirements

【~】✪ Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities

【~】✪ Ensure timely submission of tax returns and statutory filings

Audit & Internal Controls

【~】✪ Coordinate internal and external audits

【~】✪ Establish and maintain effective internal control systems

【~】✪ Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Trading & Retail Accounting

【~】✪ Monitor inventory accounting, stock controls, and margin analysis

【~】✪ Oversee supplier payments, credit control, and branch-level accounting

【~】✪ Manage hire purchase, leasing, warranty provisions, and installment sales

Microfinance / Credit Operations

【~】✪ Monitor credit risk and receivables management

【~】✪ Oversee loan accounting, interest income recognition, and portfolio monitoring

【~】✪ Ensure compliance with applicable microfinance regulations

【~】✪ Monitor loan recovery, provisioning, and NPL ratios

Strategic & Business Support

【~】✪ Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to management

【~】✪ Support business expansion, branch openings, and system implementations

💠 𝐉𝐎𝐁 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄 :

【~】✪ Senior-level finance role covering accounting, taxation, compliance, and strategic reporting

【~】✪ Multi-business exposure: retail, trading, and microfinance

【~】✪ Involves both operational accounting and high-level financial analysis
