Chathura Bakers & Caterers (Pvt) Ltd is looking for an experienced and hardworking Hot Kitchen Chef to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality Chinese and Sri Lankan food items.
- Prepare pastry fillings and assist with dessert-related production when required.
- Manage daily hot-kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and quality control.
- Handle takeaway orders efficiently and maintain consistency during busy periods.
- Manage food service for a 60-pax dine-in restaurant.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and proper storage standards.
- Monitor stock levels, reduce wastage, and support cost control.
- Lead, guide, and coordinate kitchen staff when required.
- Ensure all food is served on time with good taste and presentation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Hot Kitchen Chef or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese food and Sri Lankan cuisine.
- Experience with pastry fillings is an added advantage.
- Ability to manage takeaway operations and a 60-pax restaurant service.
- Good leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
