About the Role
Xellion (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced Accountant to oversee the company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan statutory regulations, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Process payroll and administer salary payments.
Ensure compliance with VAT, APIT, EPF, ETF, and other statutory tax requirements.
Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts, and other financial reports.
Maintain the General Ledger and perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Coordinate internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan accounting standards and company financial policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, or CIMA will be a distinct advantage.
Hindi speaking is mandatory.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or Sage.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
