*CHIEF ENGINEER (MARINE): SALARY NEGOTIABLE
#Description
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Degree or 3-year Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) as per STCW requirements
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Minimum 5 years of experience on tug boats, preferably ASD/Azimuth Tractor Tugs
• Strong experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of main engines, auxiliary engines, and hydraulic systems
• Hands-on experience with azimuth thrusters, steering systems, and propulsion controls
• Familiarity with planned maintenance systems (PMS) and engine room documentation
• Knowledge of safety management systems (SMS) and class/flag requirements
• Ability to manage engine room crew and coordinate with Master and shore management
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Experience in dry docking, surveys, and audits
• Good troubleshooting and decision-making skills under operational conditions
