Assistant Hotel Manager

This is a residential position. Applicant would be able to handle, supervise and report to management on the running of a hotel bungalow comprising 7+ rooms without direct supervision. The job role requires non-confrontational skills in staff handling , converse and liaise with guests directly or through travel agents and drivers, with minimum intervention by the head office. Ability to navigate high pressure guest demands professionally is expected. A pleasing personality, ability to converse both in Sinhalese and English would be expected. Knowledge of Tamil language will be helpful for managing day to day affairs. Honesty and being methodical is mandatory. Knowledge in IT with MS excel and MS Word skills would be needed to perform the tasks of the job role. Overall knowledge in other hotel operational areas - kitchen, restaurant, housekeeping would be necessary to manage this overall job position more efficiently.
