Serendib Prime Seafood (Pvt) Ltd. is one of Sri Lanka's leading seafood importers, manufacturers, and distributors. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accounting records and daily financial transactions.
Process supplier invoices, payments, and journal entries.
Bank, cash, and cheque reconciliations.
Prepare VAT, SSCL and other statutory documentation.
Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Maintain stock and cost records.
Support payroll, EPF/ETF and audit requirements.
Liaise with banks, suppliers and internal departments.
Perform other finance and administrative duties assigned by management.
Requirements
AAT Qualified / Part Qualified in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA or ACCA.
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in an accounting role (experience in FMCG/manufacturing is an advantage).
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
Candidates residing in or around Negombo will be given preference.
