We are a growing frozen food company based in Rajagiriya, supplying high-quality products to retailers and food service customers. With a strong focus on efficiency, accuracy, and customer service, we are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.
### Role Overview
The Accounts Assistant will support the finance department with day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records and timely processing of transactions. The role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
### Key Responsibilities
* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
* Capture supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
* Assist with bank reconciliations
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
* Assist with stock and cost reconciliations
* Support month-end and year-end financial reporting
* Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
* Assist external accountants or auditors when required
### Requirements
* Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
* Relevant accounting qualification or studying towards one (advantageous)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks)
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Good organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Experience in food manufacturing, distribution, or FMCG (preferred but not essential)
