*Accountant — Manufacturing Group (2 Companies)*
Eco Extracts (Pvt) Ltd, manufacturer of the Canine Plus+ premium pet food brand, together with its associated 40-year-old seafood export company, is seeking a capable, hands-on Accountant to take full ownership of the accounts function for both companies.
*Responsibilities:*
- Maintain complete books of accounts for two companies (pet food manufacturing + seafood processing/exports)
- Bring backlogged accounts up to date and establish monthly closing routines
- Supervise the existing Accounts Clerk (data entry) and a Junior Office Assistant
- Handle payroll, EPF/ETF, PAYE/APIT and statutory filings for a small staff cadre
- Manage bank reconciliations, supplier/customer ledgers, and cash controls
- Support export documentation, BOI reporting, and annual audit
- Handle basic HR administration (attendance, letters, personnel files)
- Report directly to the Director
*Requirements:*
- Part-qualified CA Sri Lanka / AAT passed finalist / CIMA part-qualified, or degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing or export company
- Must be comfortable working independently and cleaning up/systemizing accounts — this is a rebuild role, not a running system
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks/Sage/Tally or similar) and strong Excel
- Knowledge of BOI/export company compliance an advantage
- Residence within travel distance of Negombo
