SOUS CHEF – HOT KITCHEN

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Assist in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations
✔ Supervise and guide kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
✔ Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
✔ Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards
✔ Support menu planning, costing, and kitchen organization
✔ Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing/store
✔ Handle service pressure and ensure timely food delivery
Requirements:
✔ Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior Commis/Chef de Partie
✔ Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan, Indian & Chinese cuisine
✔ Leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff
✔ Excellent time management and organizational skills
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
✔ Strong understanding of food cost control and kitchen efficiency
