About the role

Required skills, qualities and experience:
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen preparing Sri Lankan, Asian and Western foods to a very high standard

• High attention to detail & presentation

• Be passionate about food and the quality of the food you prepare

• Good time management skills

• Be able to work under pressure

• Work well in a team environment

• Able to lead a small team effectively and create a good working environment for all

• Be creative and strive for continuous improvement

• Good communication skills

• Formal qualifications at a good hotel management school

• Able to speak English to a good level

• Work flexible hours

• Be able to maintain very high hygiene standards in the kitchen

• Responsible for timely ordering of all ingredients and effective management of the stores
