NEED ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE CUM TAX ASSOCIATE (MALE / FEMALE)
Chartered Accountants and Consultancy Firm is in Colombo 14 looking for Tax Associate for immediate recruitment.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or part professional qualification (e.g., CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA).
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in taxation, preferably in a reputed audit/tax advisory firm or corporate tax department.
• Thorough knowledge of Sri Lanka’s Inland Revenue Act, IRD administrative procedures, and practical tax computation.
• Experience in handling IRD cases, including assessments, appeals, and refund processes.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and tax computation software.
Preferred
• Part qualification or completion of CA Sri Lanka Strategic Tax Modules.
• Exposure to BOI/SLTDA tax concessions and cross-border taxation matters.
• Familiarity with tax digitalization initiatives (e-filing, RAMIS system).
4. Competencies
• Excellent communication and drafting skills (English and Sinhala/Tamil).
• Strong negotiation and representation skills when dealing with IRD.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Ability to work independently under deadlines and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on tax changes.
5. Career Progression
Successful candidates will have opportunities to progress into Senior Tax Associate, Tax Executive, or Assistant Tax Manager roles depending on performance and professional development.
6. Salary
Minimum LKR 80,000/- - 100,000/- per month who meets the required qualification and skills.
