# POSITION : Receptionist

# REQUIREMENTS :

Experienced receptionist required for a busy guesthouse.
Required skills, qualities and experience:
· Enthusiastic and personable
· Must have excellent written and spoken English
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high quality hotel in the same or similar role
· Should have a good understanding of Microsoft Office products and be familiar with hotel booking software (or be able to learn quickly).
· Excellent organisational skills
· Be efficient and pro-active
· Must be patient with customers and be able to resolve problems quickly and effectively
· An understanding of finance/book-keeping is highly desirable
· Must maintain excellent records across many functions of the business
· Manage customer check-ins and check-outs and ensure outstanding bills are paid
· Help coordinate housekeeping
· Manage enquiries via email / internet in a prompt manner
· Facilitate the booking of tours and transfers for guests
· Provide detailed and accurate information to guests about local attractions, facilities and directions
· Be reliable, honest and punctual
· Presentable at all times
· Work flexible hours when required
